Club Time Trials Restart

July 15, 2020

News that Matlock CC club time trials are returning with the first event the evening 10 mile event on Tuesday 14th July. A number of clubs are now putting on their TT events around the country in accordance with CTT guidance. In order for these events to run safely there will be a number of rules and restrictions in place.

Each event will be publicised on Facebook and will have a link to the online entry form to be completed. Each event will also have a Facebook 'Event' which will also have a link to this document. For those not on social media the club event calendar on this website will be updated with the same information so to enter go to the event on the calendar, open it and within the rules and guidance you will find a link to that document.

The Club Calendar is here

We appreciate that online entry only may seem restrictive but with the current situation we need to be sure of numbers and have the ability to contact each competitor should we need to for 'Track and Trace' purposes. Should you feel ill after taking part in these events you should let us know!

You can read further guidance on how events are running here:

Our club time trials are usually open to anyone who is a member of a Cycling Time Trials (CTT) affiliated club. They are probably the easiest way to start racing and can just be used as a good training session. The riders taking part cover a varied range of abilities so you’ll always have someone of a similar level to compete against. Please note that if you are riding in our events you must use a working rear light in accordance with the updated CTT regulations. If you wish to be eligible for Matlock CC trophies you need to be a first claim member of the club or Matlock CC is your first claim club for the specific discipline (Time-trialling / Road / Cyclocross etc.) U18s must wear a helmet in accordance with CTT regulations and as the events are on open roads you must be aged 12+ and parents / guardians must fill in a parental consent form available to download from the CTT website here:
