Midweek Evening Time Trials to restart

With Spring arriving and the clocks changing, the Matlock CC midweek evening time trials are about to restart with the Ashford 5 mile events on Tuesdays and the Hilly TT events on Thursdays. Details and entry forms for the first of these events are below.

The Thursday Hilly course has had to be revised due to the road closure at Leashaw so the TT Team has come up with an alternative which climbs up Lea Road but please note there is a loop added in to increase the distance of the event and make it worthwhile (new course is around 5.7miles). This is described below with a link. Please also note that with the re-opening of Lea Road to Cromford, we can now move the start back to its original location near the access to Cromford Railway Station. Sign on for the event will remain at High Peak junction car park.

Entry for the first hilly event on Thursday 6th April at the online form below:

NOTE REVISED COURSE DUE TO ROAD CLOSURE Start on Lea Road near the access to Cromford Railway Station, head along Lea Road past the High Peak Trail car park, follow Lea Road to the left past John Smedley, carry on up Lea Road to Lea Main Road, turn left onto Shaw Lane, head to junction with Dethick Lane, trun left onto Dethick Lane, head along Dethick Lane onto Mill Lane (same road name change) carry on along Mill Lane to turn left onto Riber Road, carry on along Riber Road until it becomes Bakers Lane and then left back onto Lea Main Road. Carry on up Lea Main Road / Lea Moor Road to finish near the parking area (before High Lane).
